Vice President, Business Development
Matt Mitchell is a senior business development and operations executive with a track record of successfully driving transformational change across complex business organizations. He has deep and broad experience in global business operations, thought leadership, and building strategic partnerships that drive business performance and growth.
As Vice President of Business Development, Matt plans and executes Liberty’s growth strategy, resulting in new business acquisitions and organizational growth. He analyzes national and local markets for sales opportunities in Liberty’s key markets; identifies opportunities for new business; develops strategic relationships with existing and potential customers; and oversees the preparation of proposals, budgets, and program start-up plans.
Before joining Liberty, Matt held senior leadership roles in population health and accountable care at both AdventHealth and Banner Health. In his role with AdventHealth, he launched and led the program management and process engineering team within the population health services division. Matt served as a strategic advisor to senior executive leadership, including defining and implementing processes, procedures, and policies aligned with corporate goals and division business objectives. He has also held other senior leadership roles focusing on operations, sales, and customer service & support in healthcare and other industries.
Matt earned a Master of International Management (MIM) with a focus on Healthcare from Colorado State University Global, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of California – Irvine, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, University of La Verne.
