Who do ADRCs Serve?

The Entire Lifespan:

  • Older adults
  • People with disabilities
  • Family members and caregivers

What do ADRCs do? 

  • Information and Counseling: ADRCs provided unbiased and reliable nformation and counseling to all people, regardless of income.
  • Collaboration: ADRCs also assist other professionals seeking assistance on behalf of their clients.
  • Entry Point for Benefits: Assist clients in identifying government programs that may be available to them.

Introduction to Information & Referral (I&R) 

  • Definition: A process through which individuals are provided with information on available programs and services and referred to the appropriate service providers.
  • Purpose: To connect people with the necessary resources to meet their needs.
  • Key Concept: Helping individuals access the support they require for better outcomes.

Introduction to Options Counseling

Options Counseling is a person-centered service that helps individuals, especially older adults and people with disabilities, understand their options and make informed decisions regarding long-term services and supports.
